FinanceLocal Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of financelocal.com.au and the services FinanceLocal provides through it (the “Site”). By accessing the Site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Site.

FinanceLocal is operated by Q1 Group Pty Ltd, an Australian company. References to “we”, “us”, and “our” in these terms mean Q1 Group Pty Ltd trading as FinanceLocal.

1. No financial advice

FinanceLocal does not provide financial product advice, credit advice, taxation advice, or financial planning advice. The Site, the audit tool, and any associated content describe information generally and are not tailored to any individual person’s objectives, financial situation, or needs.

FinanceLocal lists independent financial experts (mortgage brokers and, in time, other categories). Each expert operates under their own credentials, their own aggregator or licence arrangement, and their own professional responsibilities. Any advice you receive comes from the FinanceLocal Expert directly, not from FinanceLocal. Before acting on any information provided through the Site, you should obtain advice from a licensed professional appropriate to your circumstances.

2. The relationship between FinanceLocal and listed Experts

FinanceLocal lists experts. Experts hold their own credentials. We are not an employer, partner, agent, or licensee of any FinanceLocal Expert, and a FinanceLocal Expert is not our employee, partner, agent, or licensee. The contractual relationship for any service an expert provides to you is between you and that expert.

3. The audit tool

The free AI-readiness audit at /audit is offered without charge for evaluation purposes. By submitting a website to the audit tool, you confirm that you have the authority to do so.

• AI-generated content. The audit report is produced by a large language model with deterministic scoring inputs. AI-generated content can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. The report is offered as-is, without any warranty of accuracy or suitability for a particular purpose.
• No reliance. You should not rely on the audit report to make commercial, regulatory, or financial decisions without independent verification.
• No liability for outcomes. To the maximum extent permitted by law, FinanceLocal is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the audit report or any recommendation it contains.

4. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — including text, layout, code, brand elements, the FinanceLocal name and marks, and the structure of the audit report — is owned by Q1 Group Pty Ltd or its licensors and is protected by Australian and international copyright and trademark laws.

You may view and (where contextually appropriate) share links to public Site pages. You may not reproduce, mirror, scrape at scale, sublicense, or repurpose Site content for commercial use without our prior written permission.

The audit report we generate against a website you submit is produced for the broker who submitted it; we grant the submitter a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to share the report URL with others as a referral. Beyond that, the report is our copyright and may not be reproduced or modified outside that scope.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Site or audit tool to harass, deceive, or impersonate another person or business.
• Submit websites to the audit tool that you do not have the authority to submit, or that are designed primarily to defraud, mislead, or harm.
• Probe, scan, or otherwise attempt to compromise the Site or its underlying infrastructure.
• Scrape Site content programmatically beyond what robots.txt explicitly permits.
• Use the Site in a way that breaches Australian law or any third party’s rights.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FinanceLocal’s total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with the Site, the audit tool, or these terms is limited to AUD $100. We exclude liability for indirect, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, and for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunity.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

7. Privacy

Information collected through the Site is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

8. Changes to the Site and these terms

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site without notice. We may update these terms from time to time; material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” line above. Your continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site if we reasonably consider that you have breached these terms or used the Site in a way that exposes us, our service providers, or other users to harm. The provisions of these terms which by their nature survive termination — including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law — continue to apply after termination.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. The Queensland courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction to determine any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms.
