Solo brokers were caught between two bad options.
Stay invisible — keep referring inward, hope the existing client list is enough, accept the ceiling. Or try to compete with volume content machines — Hunter Galloway, Madd Loans, the brands with 15-strong content teams — and burn out in three weeks.
Aggregators build compliance tools and lodgement workflows. Volume brokers build content machines. Nobody was building the thing solo brokers actually need: a way to be found locally, without a team.
We also saw the ASIC compliance gap coming. Every broker using AI tools has zero governance — ChatGPT in one tab, Canva in another, no audit trail anywhere. That is a regulatory time bomb.
So we built FinanceLocal: local authority content with ASIC compliance built in from day one. The architecture, not a bolt-on.
